Place was spotless and Ellen couldn’t do enough for us and responded immediately with any questions we had 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My boyfriend and I just spent a weekend here for his birthday. We had such a wonderful weekend. First of all, very easy to find, we used Google maps. I love that you can park right next to the cabin! It is so peaceful, private and relaxing. Right next to a lake, we loved watching the mother duck and her 4 little ducklings swim around ♥️ The hot tub was amazing! I downloaded the Merlin app which tells you what birds are singing, so many different birds came up! 🐦 Cabin was very clean, cute and has everything you need in the kitchen! Lots of board games to play, we played multiple games of Monopoly 😁 bed is very comfortable to sleep in, shower is great! Netflix worked fine for us, no problems with signal / WiFi at all. Deffo recommend buying the £15 firewood pack (you get loads) sitting by the fire toasting marshmallows is lovely 🔥 we didn’t leave the cabin all weekend because we didn’t want to (apart from some little strolls around the lake) and we had the best time 🫶🏼🏕️💕

A truly stunning location in beautiful countryside located in mid-Devon.
'The Hide' is located amongst trees with lakes in front and has to be one of the most serene and natural places in the English countryside you could stay.
The sound of the birds in the trees all around the cabin and the water at the lakes was devine. This is the perfect place to escape modern life and get back to nature and i can't recommend it enough.
Both location and the hosts are FABULOUS !!

The most beautiful place to stay in the south west, Ellen made us feel so comfortable making the space feel private and easy to acsess, we could not recommend enough to stay for a gorgeous break away!

We had such a lovely stay here. The cabin was exactly as described and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Being surrounded by nature made it feel really peaceful and relaxing. The cabin felt like a home away from home. The host was really friendly and easy to communicate with throughout, which made everything straightforward. We’d definitely stay again.

A tranquil, quiet and peaceful location (the ideal relaxation). Ellen was always responsive and the cabin was spotless and tastefully decorated. If you are searching getting back to nature and love birdsong then you will love it here. Thank you so much for a lovely stay, we look forwards to returning.

Had a wonderful few days in peace and tranquility, a beautiful place to wake up to birdsong and sip coffee looking out over the lake whilst the sun comes up , and in the evening watch it go down with a glass of wine in the hot tub , highly recommended

Words don't do this place justice. What a piece of heaven. So beautiful, the view of the lake - just wow!
The hot tub amazing, the place had everything you needed in the kitchen and more. Robes towels. Everything has been thought of, to make our stay perfect. We will visit again for sure
Everything was super clean, it all worked , parking was close to lodge and the nature oh my days just stunning

We loved our stay at the Lakehouse. A real nature detox, just what we needed! The house had everything we needed with nearest shops only a short drive away. We'll be back! 🌷

The place is beautiful. It is isolated and so peaceful and it was lovely to wake up in the morning to the sounds of the birds - it was a perfect escape. The place was also very clean and very well equipped. Ellen was also very responsive and friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here 😊

Can’t fault anything. A Peaceful, lovely place to relax. An immediate response from Ellen when we had a problem with WiFi that she resolved quickly. If you want a peaceful, relaxing place amongst the trees and wildlife at a fair price you can’t go wrong with this unique little place.

The Hide really is an exceptional place to be! surrounded by nature, trees and birdsong, it as truly a haven to relax, be at peace and gather your thoughts. The Hide is uniquely decorated with some beautiful quirky touches, that bring a smile and has everything you need for a comfortable few days away. Ellen, your host, had excellent communication and is on hand if you need anything. The walk from the car park is only few mins, and we were luck to be there during a patch of dry weather, so it was easy going underfoot. there are plenty of footpaths and local walks so you can explore the area without needing to get the car, there is a local OS map provided for ease. In the evenings we BBQd and sat under the stars with logs in the burner for heat. it really is a beautiful place to just be. we booked to return, before we had left!

The most perfect escape.
I completely lost myself for 3 nights and left feeling so invigorated. The lake house itself is so thoughtfully laid out and has everything you need to feel immediately right at home. Went from 100 to chill almost immediately on arrival. Ellen was super helpful and responsive when I was asking about the local produce and area (and when I forgot some items after I’d checked out! Subconscious kicking in on not wanting to leave!!!) - I absolutely can’t rave about it enough and will definitely be back, It’s the absolute perfect nature hideaway.
The location is lovely and secluded but very close to lots of lovely villages and walks that are easy to explore, although be warned - it’s very difficult to leave the solace of the lake house!
